La Monte Young, Terry Riley, Henry Flynt等、ミニマル・ミュージック～Fluxus等のアート界にも多大な影響を与えたインド古典ヴォーカリスト、Pandit Pran Nath (1918-1996)がアメリカへ来る前に録音していた、1968年インドでの録音作Ragas Of Morning & Night(1986年にGramavisionからリリース）が遂に直弟子La Monte Youngのレーベルよりオフィシャル再発！
A面には目覚めに相応しい生命力に満ちた朝のラーガRaga Todi、B面にはゆったりとしたタブラのリズムに流されて行く夜のラーガRaga Darbariを収録。当時ラモンテ夫妻が、68年頃のPandit Pran Nathの録音物を聴き、その声に惚れ込んで渡印したという逸話がありますが、この音源は同年の録音であるところを見ると、恐らく彼らの推薦で1986年にGramavisionからリリースされたのでしょう。Ustad Abdul Wahid Khan（Pandit Pran Nathの師匠）から脈々と続く瞑想的なキラナ・ガラナが完全純度で結晶化した傑作。
